Heros journey 9-12

The reward stage is allowing the hero and the audience a break from the fast paced story. There will be celebration, and a recap of the story. He is worthy of his hearts desire, find love, change perspective of death, moment of clarity. People are far from perfect. The hero might get cocky, and think he is strong, smarter.

He will take the ride back because that is where he started, it is a upward climb.

The hero must return because evil is in pursuit. If the hero had to save his world, than he must return.

In Clash of the Titans, the character goes back and gets his girl. In the movie prince of persia, the main character returns home to clear his name.

In Prince of Persia, the main character has his sand sword stollen. This is where the elixir is stolen. In the origanal clash of the titans, the girls is captured by the kracken, and perseus saves her. This was in a loved one is captured.

The resurrection is when the hero sheds what he was before, and is reborn. He is turned to his ordinary world. the character is the plot of the story because he has the main part. An example of the character having a new birth is in Harry Potter and the Deathly hallows part 2 when Harry is killed, but then is reborn. Another example of a movie is in Transformers when bumblebee dies, and the alspark saves him

heros journey 5-8

1. He must cross the first thresh hold. The journey might not be personal enough to plunge head first into adventure.

2. The Threshold Guardian is the one blocking the Hero. The hero has to come by an obstical either physical or mental.

3. The leap of faith is a plunge into the new world. This starts the adventure and there is no going back.

4. An example of a movie with this is in Shrek when the short prince says that he can’t rescue the princess. Another example is in Narnia because everyone says that Lucy is wrong.

1. The purpose of going through the trail tribulation is for the hero to be tested, ad the ultimate battle.

2. The sidekick is devoted to the hero. He will follow him and could even be a mentor. They can be as good as the heros to.

3. Enemies will control the Heros foreign domain. Slaying the enemy could bring more enemies, if the enemy had a mother or father, or friend.

4. The rivals are just in competition with each other. They are neither an enemy or an ally.

5. In the hunger games, they put Katniss into the games and she must have sidekick, rue. Another example is Shrek. Shrek must go to a foreign place, and Donkey acts as his sidekick.

The 1st threshold is different from the second because he has grown a developed. It is the darkest and most dangerous stage. The hero represents to cross the second threshold.

It is called the inmost cave because it is closest to the hero, and it is like it is in him.

Two examples of movies or books a re the hunger games and walle

1. The ordeal changes the hero because he will never change again, it is the greatest and darkest. The hero symbolicly dies and is reborn and returns home.

2. The ordeal is not considered the climax because the hero is now changed forever, and it is not the midpoint.

The hero faces the villan, the villan may live or die. An example is in the last Harry Potter movie because Harry is killed by Voldimort, and then is reborn by coming back to life.

The hero faces the villans henchman, and saves the villan for the final act. In Spider man 3, spider man fights the sandmans henchman.

The hero has to conquer his fear. A movie like this is in Nemo when he has to overcome his fear of touching the boat.

Heros journey stage 1-4

Stage one is who the character is and in the ordinary world.

Stage two is the call to adventure and the character leaving.

The refusal of the call is because a character is scared, and is afraid of what lies ahead of him/her.

A hero would refuse the call to adventure because of fear. By showing fear the character is more relatable to the reader.

In the movie Tron Legacy the boys dad refuses the call of adventure because he is scared of leaving his house to get his kingdom back. Another example is Nemo. In Nemo, Nemo’s dad wont let him do anything because he is scared.

texting and driving

I say that there should be no texting and driving for anyone. Nobody is allowed to text while driving. It is ok to text when at a street light, or when pulled over. Talking is still allowed, but know texting when you have your foot on the gas peddle. Many people, usually younger people have died, or caused others to die because of texting and driving.

Drinking and driving, and texting and driving are two totally different things. Drinking and driving will affect your driving, where as texting and driving will only distract you. If you are a responsible driver, you will only text during lights, or you will just wait.

My plan to stop texting and driving will be to have very high tickets for texting and driving. I will also reward people for not texting and driving. I will lower your insurance if you are not texting and driving  by 50 dollars a year. That is my plan to stop texting and driving.
